About Custom 3D modeling

Custom 3D modeling means building a digital model from scratch for an object that does not exist in 3D yet: a product in development, a spare part, a vintage piece of furniture, a prop for a scene or something you plan to 3D print. It lets you produce renders, feed a configurator, prototype a design or simply own a clean file where you previously had only photos or a napkin sketch. It is often the first step of a larger project.

The artist rebuilds the geometry from your sources, checks proportions against known dimensions and delivers the model in the format you need: FBX or OBJ for most software, glTF for the web, STL for 3D printing, SKP for SketchUp, or native Blender, 3ds Max or Rhino files. Depending on the use, that means clean quad topology, a lightweight version for real time, or a watertight mesh for printing. For an accurate result, share photos from several angles, ideally with at least one reference measurement, or annotated drawings and sketches, plus notes on materials and finishes. A mechanical part is modeled with dimensional rigor, while a decorative object gets more attention to curves and silhouette.

On hi-3d, custom modeling services in the 3D Modeling & Rendering category list a portfolio, price and turnaround time. Compare a few, invite the artist you like and collaborate in the project conversation, where you see screenshots of the model in progress, ask for adjustments during revision rounds and download the final files. Every comment stays logged in the thread.

A typical request: an object shot from four sides, delivered as FBX and OBJ to be placed in an interior render. State the format, level of detail and final use up front, since that saves rework later. Browse the artists offering custom 3D modeling and give your object a proper digital life.
